About The Role
The Senior HR Operations Specialist will provide end-to-end HR operational support for a fast-growing Australian asset management firm. This role requires strong ownership of HR processes, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage critical HR systems, records, and policies with minimal supervision.
You will support the People & Culture team by streamlining HR workflows, driving operational accuracy, and ensuring high-quality, compliant HR service delivery. This is a senior role suited to someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and acting as a trusted operations partner.
Responsibilities
- HR Operations & Process Ownership
- Own and manage end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle (hire–to–retire).
- Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and data integrity across all systems.
- Manage HR inboxes, queries, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate statutory and compliance requirements (HR-related audits, reporting, documentation tracking).
- Continuously review, streamline, and improve HR administrative processes.
- Systems & Data Administration
- Oversee day-to-day administration of the HRIS and related tools (e.g., ATS, onboarding systems, learning systems).
- Run scheduled HR reports, dashboards, and data audits.
- Troubleshoot system issues and support process enhancements.
- Policy & Documentation Management
- Maintain the full library of HR policies, templates, and procedures.
- Support policy reviews, version control, and formatting to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits as required.
- Payroll Support
- Support the payroll cycle by preparing validated employee data (changes, new starters, terminations, leave).
- Conduct pre- and post-payroll checks to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain payroll-related documentation and liaise with payroll partners for issue resolution.
- Onboarding & Offboarding Coordination
- Oversee the administrative components of onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Coordinate documentation, systems provisioning, probations, and exit paperwork.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR operations or HR administration
- Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
- Experience owning HRIS administration and maintaining large datasets.
- Exposure to payroll processes (not processing payroll but supporting payroll accuracy).
- Excellent documentation, workflow management, and process improvement skills.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, and a proactive working style.
- Experience supporting fast-paced, scaling organizations preferred.
- Experience supporting companies in Australia is a plus
