Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

This isn't a "build a dashboard and forget it" job. It's deeper than that. You'll sit with stakeholders across sales, marketing, and product—understand what actually keeps them up at night—and build the reports that give them answers. Sometimes before they even know the question.

You'll write complex SQL queries that join data from multiple sources. You'll design executive dashboards in Tableau or Power BI that leadership checks daily. And when something interesting shows up—a sudden retention drop, an unexpected high-value cohort—you'll dig in and figure out why.

Then you'll explain it to people who don't speak data, in a way that leads to action.

What You'll Actually Do:

✅ Build dashboards that get used – Not pretty charts people glance at once. Real tools that drive daily decisions.

✅ Partner across the business – Sales, marketing, product, customer success. Each team has questions. You'll give them answers.

✅ Write advanced SQL – Complex queries, window functions, performance optimization. You'll pull data from Salesforce, product databases, marketing platforms—and make it all make sense together.

✅ Go beyond reporting – When the data reveals something unexpected, you'll figure out why and present findings that lead to change.

✅ Enable self-service analytics – Train teams to answer their own questions so you can focus on the hard stuff.

✅ Support strategic planning – Leadership makes big decisions based on your analysis. Where to invest. What to build. Who to target.

Who You Are:

🔹 3-5 years in Business Intelligence, Data Analyst, or Analytics roles

🔹 Advanced SQL skills—you're comfortable with complex queries and large datasets

🔹 Strong experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker (real dashboard design, not just basic charts)

🔹 Understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schemas, ETL, how data flows)

🔹 Enough statistical literacy to know when you need help from a data scientist

🔹 Someone who can explain complex findings to non-technical audiences without dumbing anything down

Nice-to-Haves:

🔸 Python or R for deeper analysis

🔸 Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift

🔸 Background in e-commerce, SaaS, or subscription businesses

What Success Looks Like:

Month one: Understanding the data landscape and key stakeholders.

Month three: Owning core dashboards and handling ad-hoc requests independently.

Month six: Stakeholders come to you before they finalize questions—because they trust you to help shape them. You've delivered at least one insight that led to a real business change.
