Shop Engineer

Hitachi Energy is currently looking for an Shop Engineer for the Transformers Business to join their

team in Savli, Gujarat, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

Transformers BU team leverages innovative and diverse technology to transform energy, delivering

future generations. The business’s comprehensive portfolio includes power transformers, traction

transformers, insulation and components, digital sensors, and transformer services. The Company’s

complex, the transformers play an increasingly vital role in improving power quality and network

must be flexible to accommodate business requirements and experience in working with diverse

groups and cultures. The ability to multitask & delivers within timelines is essential. The candidate will

have excellent communications skills.

Mission Statement

 Support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and

processes. Correctly use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. Read and interpret the

technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.

 Operate process equipment or machinery to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts into

components or finished parts for a final product at the right time and with the required quality.

Your Responsibilities

 Executes the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with HITACHI

Energy standard processes and safety guidelines.

 Operates machines in accordance with operating manual/work schedule/production order

instructions.

 Carries out routine set-up and adjustments as well as simple repairs and fits simple replacement

parts.

 The job may include regular standard maintenance of the equipment, set up of tools and

programming. Typically a highly skilled worker.

 Conducts shop floor operations in compliance with health & safety guidelines and reports any

non-compliance.

 The job may include regular quality testing as part of a defined production process. Skill set

required depends on type of products and level of complexity.

 Operates within standard operating procedures and maintains a clean work area.

Your Background

 Diploma Degree with Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

 2-3 years of working experience as Shop Engineering preferably in Transformer Industry

 Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
