Job Description


Location: NYC (Hybrid – at least 3 days onsite/week)

Visa Sponsorship: We offer sponsorship under specific treaty-based U.S. work visas, including TN and E-2 (for eligible Canadian, Mexican, and French citizens). We do not support or transfer other visa types (e.g., H-1B).

We are seeking an IT Budget Coordinator to join our team.

In this role, you will play a central part in IT financial management, overseeing budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting across multiple technology initiatives. You will work closely with IT leadership, Finance, Procurement, and Head Office resource control teams to ensure accurate budget governance, clear visibility on spend, and strong alignment between IT strategy and business priorities.

This position requires a strong analytical mindset, advanced reporting skills, and the ability to confidently interact with senior stakeholders. You will contribute directly to strategic decision-making by providing data-driven insights on budget performance, variances, and funding needs.

Role and responsibilities


  • Develop, maintain, and enhance IT budget tracking and reporting tools using advanced Excel and Power BI.
  • Monitor IT expenditures, burn rates, and forecasts to ensure strict adherence to approved budgets.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis between actuals, forecasts, and budgets, and clearly communicate key drivers.
  • Lead and prepare materials for budget review meetings with IT managers and senior leadership.
  • Coordinate project budget requests, consolidate inputs from multiple stakeholders, and support funding approval processes.
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance to ensure accurate order tracking, invoicing, accruals, and cost allocation.
  • Work with Head Office resource control teams to comply with global budget processes, reporting standards, and timelines.
  • Support annual budget preparation (including the 2026 budget), leveraging prior year actuals and the IT roadmap.
  • Contribute to aligning IT investment decisions with business objectives, cost optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.




Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering or Computer Science.
  • MIN 5 years of experience in IT budget management, financial analysis, or a similar role within a corporate or financial services environment.
  • Strong expertise in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables); VBA and Power BI experience is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, senior-level financial reports and present budget insights confidently.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, structured thinking, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
