Edison Smart is partnering with a leading smart building and infrastructure developer in the UAE on an exciting opportunity for an OT Cybersecurity Architect.

The Vision

Our client is transforming the UAE’s skyline into a network of autonomous, self-healing, and sustainable environments. But a "Smart Building" is only as good as its defence. They're seeking a OT Cybersecurity Architect to ensure that their Building Management Systems (BMS) and IoT ecosystems are resilient against modern threats. You will be the technical authority ensuring that "Connectivity" never comes at the cost of "Security."

The Impact You Will Make

• The Smart Blueprint: Design and govern secure-by-design architectures for integrated BMS, HVAC, Lighting, and Access Control systems across a flagship portfolio.

• Convergence Leadership: Bridge the gap between Facility Management (FM) and Corporate IT to ensure seamless, secure data flow between building sensors and cloud analytics.
• Protocol Defence: Architect security for "Building Languages", including BACnet/SC, LonWorks, Modbus, and KNX.
• IoT Governance: Manage the security lifecycle of thousands of IIoT (Industrial IoT) devices, from smart meters to occupancy sensors.
• Compliance Authority: Align their smart infrastructure with NESA (UAE), SIA, and the ISO/IEC 27001 / IEC 62443 frameworks.

Your Experience:

• Experience: 7+ years in Cybersecurity, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Building Automation (BMS) or Smart City technologies.
• The "Niagara" Edge: Deep familiarity with the Tridium Niagara Framework or similar integration platforms (Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric).
• Network Specialist: Expertise in network segmentation (Purdue Model) and Zero Trust for campus-wide building networks.
• The Certifications: GICSP is highly preferred. Additional certifications like ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert or CISSP are a significant advantage.
• Protocol Fluency: You understand the difference between a traditional IT hack and a BACnet spoofing attack.
