Lead Software Engineer (Cloud-Based SaaS Platform)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Software Engineer to support the development of our SaaS platform. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will design, build, and scale our cloud-based solution, working across the entire stack—from infrastructure to frontend. You will collaborate closely with technical and business team members, mentor developers, and help define the technical vision for the platform.

About the Role

As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of the key platform components, specifically:

• Architect distributed systems and microservices optimized for performance and resilience.
• Manage cloud-agnostic infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain backend services using TypeScript and Python.
• Drive the development of our frontend applications built with ReactJS.
• Support and optimize data workflows related to Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Geospatial Processing.

• Mentor team members and contribute to a strong engineering culture through code reviews and design discussions.

About You

The qualifications you need to be a successful candidate include:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Track record of building distributed applications. A profound knowledge of system design and software architecture is required.
• Solid experience building and running Machine Learning centric software. ML platforms introduce extra dimensions to the software engineering.
• A mindset of quick learning and knowledge sharing. Strong fundamentals are essential, but they must still be applied in an always-changing world.
• Attention to detail. Little things matter as they differentiate cool products from ordinary ones. As a tiny attention test, in your application, you’ll be asked about the number of geospatial products you worked with. The correct answer is 42.
• A passion for solving complex challenges and going the extra mile. You’ll feel at home in a team of like-minded thinkers.
