Azure Cloud Architect

Our client is looking for a seasoned Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, delivery, and governance of cloud infrastructure across enterprise-scale transformation programs. This is a key strategic role for a cloud-first environment, offering sponsorship potential for candidates on temporary Australian visas (e.g. 485, 407, 500, 482) with strong consulting or enterprise architecture backgrounds.

You’ll be the go-to architect for all things Azure — owning solution design, architecture documentation, security models, and stakeholder alignment. This role suits professionals who bring deep cloud expertise, strong communication skills, and a hands-on approach to building scalable, secure, and well-governed Azure platforms.

• Design end-to-end Azure cloud architectures across compute, networking, identity, and storage
• Define governance, security, and compliance frameworks aligned with industry and organisational standards
• Lead architectural decisions for infrastructure, DevOps tooling, and application modernisation

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams and solution architects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions
• Produce architectural diagrams, reference models, and documentation using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Bicep

• 8+ years in cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise architecture roles
• Minimum 3 years designing and deploying complex solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, governance, RBAC, and ARM templates/Bicep
• Experience with DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform) and CI/CD workflows

• Clear communicator with ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bonus: Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-400, or AZ-500), or experience in hybrid cloud and cloud security
