About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Frontend Engineer to join our remote team, supporting our demand generation and efficiency initiatives. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining seamless customer experiences using modern web technologies. Your work will directly impact how homebuyers discover, understand, and complete their mortgage journey, making it more transparent and user-friendly. Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, you will help us deliver innovative solutions that demystify the mortgage process and empower consumers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup environment, leveraging your skills in frontend development, AI integration, and cloud infrastructure to shape the future of digital lending.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience delivering meaningful software projects to production
• Proficiency with React and/or Next.js
• Experience building high-quality customer experiences on large consumer-facing websites
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, including automated testing, continuous deployment, and monitoring
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Typescript, Tailwind, Storybook, and Vitest
• Experience with API design and integration across multiple services
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps tools
• Interest in leveraging AI tools, especially Large Language Models (LLMs), within software development
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and thrive in a remote, distributed team environment

Additional desirable qualifications include expertise in SEO, site performance optimization, familiarity with fintech or real estate technology systems, and experience with cloud-based deployment environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing web applications using Typescript, React, and Next.js
• Create and style interfaces with Tailwind CSS, ensuring accessibility and brand consistency
• Implement and test UI components using Storybook and Vitest to ensure high quality and reliability
• Collaborate with backend teams to design and integrate APIs that support seamless user experiences
• Contribute to the deployment, monitoring, and support of systems in production, participating in on-call rotations
• Follow best practices in coding, including code reviews, iterative development, and automated testing
• Work closely with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Promote accessibility standards and contribute to branding and design language consistency
• Leverage AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and DevOps tools to ensure system reliability and performance
• Continuously learn and experiment with new technologies, especially in backend engineering and AI integration
