Key Responsibilities
- Support business unit in data preparation
- Model development and support ongoing projects
- Conduct advanced research and engineering for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions for healthcare-related topics to support the development of a machine learning pipeline.
- Work with large-scale healthcare datasets to develop and test your ML models.
- Take advantage of models developed internally and/or available from the community to solve research problems in healthcare.
- Work closely with the AI research team and clinical team to transfer your proof-of-concept research prototypes into meaningful features within our products.
- Specific internship projects will be identified based on the candidate's strengths and interests, as well as business need.

- Current enrollment as a student at an accredited university for the duration of the Internship project with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
- Pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Biomedical Engineering
- Ability to work full-time for the duration of the Internship (May/June 2026 - Aug 2026)
- Good scholastic standing (3.0+ cumulative GPA or equivalent)
- Strong interest in pursuing relevant industry experience.
- Experience with data science or building machine learning models including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Model (LLM) is required
- Experience with Python required
- Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $54,000 - $72,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
