What are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Data Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to design, develop, and optimize our next-generation data architecture. The core of this role involves building high-performance, distributed data processing systems using Scala and the AWS ecosystem.

• Distributed Processing: Design and implement large-scale data processing engines using Apache Spark with Scala to handle massive datasets efficiently.
• AWS Architecture: Build and manage cloud-native data solutions using AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, Amazon S3, and AWS Lambda.
• Functional Programming Excellence: Apply best practices in Scala and functional programming to build robust, type-safe, and maintainable codebases.
• Streaming & Messaging: Implement real-time data ingestion and processing solutions using Amazon Kinesis or MSK (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka).
• Optimization: Fine-tune Spark jobs and SQL queries to reduce latency and infrastructure costs within the AWS environment.
