Job Description

About Clarity Pediatrics

Clarity Pediatrics is reimagining pediatric chronic care, starting with ADHD. Nearly 10% of children in the US are diagnosed with ADHD, and for parents, it can feel impossible to find the right care. We are building a virtual pediatric ADHD clinic that delivers trusted care to all families. Our new clinical model is tech-enabled, backed by the best science, and has the potential to deliver exceptional health outcomes to transform a child’s trajectory. In the future, our pediatric care platform will expand rapidly to other common chronic conditions like asthma, allergies, and obesity.

Our co-founders and leadership team have deep domain expertise in healthcare. Our CEO has led two startups to >$100M in ARR and profitability. Our Chief Medical Officer trained at UCSF and Stanford. Until recently, he was a Medical Director building specialty care services at Kaiser Permanente. Earlier, he worked at IDEO. Our Behavioral Health team is led by expert psychologists who have trained at children’s hospitals and academic medical centers and are committed to delivering evidence-based treatment and outstanding care to families.

We have raised $10M in seed capital from top VCs who have led investments in category-defining health-tech companies like One Medical, Hims, Spring Health, Cityblock, Honor, and Tia. We attracted angels from the world’s top digital health companies like CityBlock, Livongo, Ginger, Hims, Quartet, Pill Club, and more.

The Opportunity

In your first 6 months, you will have been working on scaling our patient-facing features to streamline how thousands of families interact with their pediatric care teams. Projects include developing a new pediatric treatment plan that will help both patients and providers work towards their treatment goals, improving feedback to pediatric clinics, and coordinating with our clinical care teams to bring new pediatric condition offerings to market.

Our Stack

  • Web: Next.js (React), TypeScript, Modern CSS
  • Backend: Node.js / Next API Routes
  • Data: PostgreSQL, Redis
  • Testing: Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Github Actions
  • Infrastructure: Aptible (Experience with AWS or GCP is a plus)

What You’ll Do

  • Build & Architect: Develop end-to-end features across our patient-facing apps, pediatrician dashboards, and internal clinical tools.
  • Own the Product: Work directly with the Head of Engineering and Product leadership to translate "what if" into production-ready code.
  • Lead Technical Decisions: Help define our engineering processes, from CI/CD improvements to database schema design.
  • Move Fast, Stay Secure: Ship high-velocity code while maintaining the rigorous security standards required for HIPAA-compliant healthcare.

Who You Are

  • 3+ Years Experience: You are a seasoned Fullstack Engineer who has seen the "lifecycle" of multiple products.
  • Proficiency in our Stack: Proficiency in Next.js, Typescript, and SQL.
  • AI-Native: You already use AI to speed up your workflow and are excited to help us find new ways to leverage it.
  • Collaborative Self-Starter: You thrive in a remote environment where communication is proactive and the mission is the North Star.
  • Regulated Industry Veteran: Bonus if you have worked in HealthTech, FinTech, or similar spaces. Able to understand that security and privacy aren't "features"—they are the foundation.

What we offer

  • Meaningful Impact: Your code will literally change the lives of children and parents navigating chronic conditions.
  • Growth & Equity: Competitive salary plus an equity stake in a high-growth, venture-backed startup.
  • Flexible Remote Culture: Work from anywhere in the US. (Optional monthly meetups for SF Bay Area locals).
  • Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and flexible PTO.

Compensation Range: $125K - $175K
