Summary

We are actively seeking a motivated Back-End Developer to enhance our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a team player who works well with others but is also able to work independently. You excel at creating and improving scalable services in line with innovations.

As a Back-end Developer, your role could include building services, REST APIs, and state aware workflows largely in cloud environments. We love collaborating with teammates on new app designs, partnering with front-end developers, Quality Analysts, Business Analysts, and other team members to combine work into a cohesive product, and improving existing services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using cloud architecture working in Jira and Git
• Ability to build from user stories and be active in technical design
• Build efficient, scalable, secure, and observable applications
• Able to take and give feedback in team meetings and code review

• Build and maintain highly scalable services and workflows
• Be proactive and responsive in addressing technical issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Rust as a primary language; additional experience with one or more of the following: Node, Python, C#
• Firm understanding of cloud infrastructure (5+ years); AWS, GCP, Azure
• Ability to take initiative - quickly pick up training, ask questions when unsure, and action items without being asked (looking for an open communicator who isn’t afraid to ask for assistance)

Preferred

• Experience with Temporal or comparable code-as-workflow engine

Soft Skills

• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

Technology

• Capable of self-deployments in a well-defined container pipeline
• Firm understanding of cloud infrastructure
• Solid experience with Rust as a primary language and one or more of the following: Node, Python, C#
• Understanding of SQL and document database development
• Experience with workflow engines (SDVI Rally, Airflow, Step Functions, Argo Workflows, Jenkins, etc.)
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

The estimated pay range for this position is USD $60.00/hr - USD $63.50/hr. Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location. We also offer comprehensive benefits.
