Location: London Hybrid

Salary: 100k-150k

The Role

You’ll join a venture-backed security start-up building a browser automation platform already embedded within large financial institutions and global enterprises.

This isn’t a greenfield toy project. Your work will power mission-critical workflows used daily by finance teams, IT departments and security functions, from securing bank logins to automating access control across critical applications.

What You’ll Work With and Own

• TypeScript, Node.js and React across product layers

• Electron desktop environments on macOS and Windows

• Postgres databases

• Browser extensions and automation using Puppeteer or Playwright

• End-to-end encryption patterns and secure infrastructure

• Infrastructure as Code

You will own core product areas from architecture through to production.

You will improve and extend a browser automation engine used inside real enterprise environments, harden a secure on-device browser application and refine workflow automation tools used by non-technical customers.

You will ship across the stack including dashboard, desktop app and backend services.

You will work directly with enterprise customers, influence technical direction and move from problem to production quickly.

This is high ownership, high autonomy and real impact.

What They’re Looking For (Non-Negotiables)

• 3+ years commercial software engineering experience

• Proven ability to build and scale production-grade systems

• Strong debugging capability and systems thinking

• Experience working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, ideally start-ups

• Confidence working directly with customers and translating feedback into shipped features

• Self-starter mindset. You take responsibility from problem to production

You should be comfortable working in a small, ambitious team where expectations are high and standards are even higher.

Nice to Haves

• Puppeteer or Selenium in production environments

• AI-enabled automation or agent-based systems

• Security engineering experience

• Zero-trust architectures

• Identity and SSO ecosystems (Okta, Entra ID, 1Password, JAMF)

• Experience working inside regulated industries such as FinTech, Insurance or SaaS
