We are working with a leading regional start-up transforming the intersection of industrial supply chains and B2B financing. Our client is embedding autonomous agents into the core of global trade, procurement, and credit operations.

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to move beyond simple prompting and build production-grade, stateful agentic architectures that solve complex, multi-step business logic.

This is a foundational role for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of LLM orchestration and robust backend engineering, working with stakeholders with vast FAANG experience in the Bay Area.

Comp:

USD 150k-USD 180k per year (tax-free)

What You’ll Build

• Design stateful, multi-agent systems using LangGraph and LlamaIndex to handle complex decision-making
• Build deterministic tool-calling patterns, human-in-the-loop gates, and advanced RAG pipelines over massive structured/unstructured dataset

• Integrate n8n and FastAPI to bridge the gap between AI reasoning and real-world execution (webhooks, ERP integrations, and scheduled triggers)
• Implement rigorous observability and regression testing using Langfuse and Promptfoo to ensure our agents are safe, fast, and cost-effective
• Deploy and manage services via Docker, utilising Redis for high-performance queuing and caching

What You Bring:

• You write clean, testable code and are an expert in FastAPI
• You have shipped LLM-based products using LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent frameworks
• Experience with vector databases (pgvector), complex SQL, and data chunking strategies for RAG.

• Comfortable with Docker, asynchronous workflows, and building for 99.9% reliability
• You don't consider a feature "done" until it has traces, logs, and a repeatable evaluation harness
• Experience serving open-weight models (vLLM / Ollama)

• An Automated Procurement Agent that analyzes RFQs, normalizes technical specifications, and drafts vendor communications for human approval
