Join Our Team as a Launch Engineer at Johnson Electric!

Location: Zacatecas, Mexico (onsite)

Relocation: Considered with assistance

As our next Launch Engineer, you’ll be part of the Launch/Project Management team supporting manufacturing operations to deliver automotive and industrial parts. You’ll ensure all project deliverables meet timelines, business objectives, and customer requirements, driving successful launches and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist Project Managers in managing assigned projects
  • Create project timelines and ensure milestones are achieved
  • Prepare APQP documents and track deliverables with cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate with internal teams and customers to meet timelines and budgets
  • Participate in meetings, document minutes, and track action items
  • Support BOM creation and product P&L evaluation
  • Manage production line transfers from other sites to Zacatecas
  • Track machine utilization and identify gaps for equipment purchases
  • Ensure compliance with JEPDS standards and quality systems
  • Perform other activities related to launch management

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • 3–4 years of experience in project or launch management
  • Project planning experience
  • At least 3 years' experience in operations related to injection molding or metal stamping
  • Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, willing to learn, and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with automotive project planning and PPAP standards
  • Knowledge of APQP processes and BOM evaluation

Bonus Points If You Have:
