Security Requirements

In line with security requirements for the concerned missions of this position, the candidate must hold a European citizenship, and it shall be eligible to be granted with personal security clearance having a nationality belonging to one the EU member states, as required by the Secure Connectivity PSI. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process. Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work the company is in, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference and identity checks.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in physics, telecom engineering, navigation, computer science or aerospace
• Strong background in physical/virtual networking and IT infrastructure
• Experience managing requirements in large space programmes (breakdown, tracing, evolution)
• Hands‑on involvement in project implementation and AIV activities
• Skilled in defining and monitoring SLAs via KPIs
• Experience in procurement, industrial activity management, negotiations and technical reviews
• Knowledge of space systems/segments, ideally GNSS/Galileo
• Experience with procurement, integration and operations of IT systems and networks
• Strong systems engineering background, preferably GNSS (Galileo)
• Experience in risk and schedule management
  
  

Responsibilities

• Support ESA’s Galileo Programme in engineering, development and validation of network and IT infrastructure for GMS, GCS and SECMON Ground Segments.
• Interface with segment primes and subcontractors for design, development, verification, validation and qualification of the network subsystem (focus on LAN).
• Ensure proper subsystem handover to the Galileo operator and contribute to accreditation activities.
• Support Galileo Project Office operations with emphasis on ICT infrastructure.
• Provide functional reporting within the Galileo Control Ground Segment Management Service and coordinate with the OPS Galileo Support Delivery Coordinator.
• Coordinate LAN network activities (MDDN, SDDN, EDDN) and related security devices across GMS, SECMON and GCS.
• Coordinate IT infrastructure tasks (directories, DNS, time services, monitoring and control).
• Manage interfaces with WAN services (GDDN, GRON) provided under EUSPA contract and ensure compliance of Customer Undertakings/CFIs.
• Support Ground Segment and System teams in planning, delivery and interface management with other segments (Space Segment, test beds).
• Contribute to reviews and activities related to Ground Segment tasks in coordination with ESA and OPS‑O.
