We're working with Amazon on this exciting opportunity. Join the AWS Managed Operations team to build and lead operations and development for the European Sovereign Cloud, delivering high-availability AWS services exclusively for EU customers.

The Role

• Spearhead the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025.

• Build and lead operations and development teams for high-availability AWS services like EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock.

• Collaborate with global AWS teams and influence the evolution of AWS services and technology.

• Enhance day-to-day operations, ensuring improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.

• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve out-of-hours incidents.

• Deliver scalable services and ensure a high-availability experience for EU customers.

What You'll Need

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Be a national of an EU member state and residing in the EU.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related IT discipline) or equivalent industry experience.

• Knowledge or experience in scripting (Bash, Python, or Ruby) or software development (Java, TypeScript, or similar).

• Strong understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals.

• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize system performance and reliability.
