The Role: Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst (Ref 26-102)

Synechron, Inc. is in need of Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst(s) in New York, NY and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to automate functional and performance testing of new and existing products as well as features.

This position qualifies under our incentive-based employee referral program.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user requirements, design QA processes, and procedures and establish test specifications.
  • Write, review and maintain test plans for feature functionality implementation, test cases, and scenarios.
  • Conduct test design and matrix traceability to ensure requirements coverage, establish and validate acceptance criteria.
  • Design end to end test flows and test strategy comprising manual and automation efforts, database scope as well as establishing end to end user requirements.
  • Implement risk-based test approach.
  • Involve business partners to prioritize the application functionality based on business criticality.
  • Analyze test results vis-a-vis functional specifications.
  • Perform data validation, verification and conditioning.

Requirements:

Must have a Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Mathematics, or related field, plus one (1) year of IT experience as a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst, Software Developer, Test Engineer or a related occupation. The one (1) year of IT experience must include experience using HP Quality Center, JIRA, MS SQL, Test NG, Agile Scrum Models, and Amazon Web Services. In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Mathematics, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate IT experience. One (1) year of the five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate IT experience must include experience using HP Quality Center, JIRA, MS SQL, Test NG, Agile Scrum Models, and Amazon Web Services. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Domestic travel not to exceed 20% of time and relocation is required. International travel not required. Travel is limited to Synechron and/or client facilities based on project needs. Incidental telecommuting permitted. EOE.
