About The Role

We are seeking an Analyst to join the People Analytics team as an automation expert. The successful candidate will play a key role in scaling reporting frameworks across the People data stack, working closely with cross-functional teams such as People Systems, Data Platform, Finance, and Recruiting Operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, experience in data analysis or engineering, and a passion for automating manual processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making through data-driven insights while growing expertise in the People Analytics domain.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in an analytics role, including data analysis, data engineering, business intelligence, or consulting within a high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including writing production queries, building ad-hoc ETLs, and conducting data validations.
  • Experience with data cleaning, joining, and validating multi-source datasets, with the ability to communicate data limitations effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing clear, slide-ready charts and tables for leadership audiences.
  • Ability to partner with non-technical stakeholders and translate business questions into technical data requirements.
  • Automation experience using Python or similar programming languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, or payroll data is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage the engineering stack to automate manual data analytics and reporting processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct data gathering, reporting, and analysis to support Executive Business Reviews and ad-hoc deep dives.
  • Own the preparation of reporting and slide-ready data exports for leadership presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including People Systems, Finance, Data Platform, and Recruiting Operations, to prepare, validate, and document datasets used for People reporting.
  • Assist in building and automating recurring reports based on existing frameworks and stakeholder feedback.
  • Partner with data warehouse engineering teams to enhance the accuracy, freshness, lineage, and robustness of core People datasets.
  • Develop ad hoc data pipelines and implement rigorous data validation procedures to support high-stakes executive reporting and analysis.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $153,000 to $170,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Relocation support for new employees.
  • Hybrid work model with three days in the San Francisco office and optional remote work on Thursdays and Fridays.
  • Access to modern, well-equipped office facilities including height-adjustable desks, conference rooms, phone booths, fully stocked kitchens, private outdoor spaces, nap rooms, and private bike storage.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development within a pioneering AI organization.
  • Inclusive and collaborative work environment that values diversity and innovation.
