Junior DevOps / AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Remote (US)
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000
Description:
We’re hiring a Junior DevOps / AWS Cloud Engineer to help support and grow the cloud infrastructure behind FantasyPros and BettingPros, two of the most trusted brands in fantasy sports and sports betting.
This is an ideal role for someone early in their DevOps or cloud career who wants hands-on experience with real production systems, mentorship from experienced engineers, and the opportunity to grow their skills in AWS, automation, and infrastructure at scale.

What you’ll do:
- Support and maintain our multi-region AWS infrastructure
- Assist with deploying applications across our brands (PHP, Java, Python)
- Help manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot issues
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and automation to make deployments smoother
- Follow security best practices and help manage access controls
- Collaborate closely with developers and other engineers
- Document infrastructure, processes, and runbooks as you learn

What we’re looking for:
- 1–2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or systems administration
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems (MacOS or Linux locally)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Some experience with scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to dig into issues
- Ability to work independently and ask for help when needed
- Clear communicator who works well with others
- Experience in a few of these areas is a plus (not all required):Containers (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK)
- Networking basics (VPCs, load balancers, DNS)
- Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Nice to have (not required):
- Startup or high-traffic environment experience
- Exposure to PHP, Java, or Python applications
- Multi-region or multi-account AWS setups
- Interest in security or compliance concepts
- AWS certifications (or working toward one)
- Interest in fantasy sports or sports betting
- Curiosity about serverless architectures
