Role Description
We are seeking an English-Speaking Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale our client facing web application.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering robust backend services, integrations, and background job processing that power a modern Next.js frontend application.
This role requires strong architectural thinking, high code quality standards, and ownership of backend systems in a CI-driven Agile environment.
This is a 100% remote position with working hours from 2pm to 10pm

Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable REST endpoints consumed by a Next.js frontend
- Develop and maintain background jobs, queues, and asynchronous processing
- Implement reliable two-way data synchronization with external systems
- Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver features on schedule
- Enforce PSR standards, SOLID principles, and clean code practices
- Optimize database performance (schema design, indexing, query optimization)
- Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
- Perform code reviews and maintain high engineering quality standards

Qualifications
- Must be very familiar with Laravel 12, PHP 7.4+/8.x, Redis, MySQL 8 and Eloquent ORM
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Basic understanding of Front-End Development for seamless collaboration with front-end teams
- Fluent in English
- Proven experience delivering APIs in Agile environments
