We're working with Amazon Web Services on this exciting opportunity. This role is crucial in launching and scaling the European Sovereign Cloud, delivering high-availability AWS services exclusively for EU customers. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of foundational AWS offerings.

The Role

• Lead operations and development for the European Sovereign Cloud in 2025.

• Collaborate with global AWS teams to influence service evolution and technology.

• Enhance day-to-day operations, focusing on availability, reliability, and efficiency.

• Contribute to improving service performance and latency.

• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents and ensure system resilience.

• Educate service teams on the complexities of the European Sovereign Cloud.

What You'll Need

• Must be a national of an EU member state and residing in the EU.

• Expertise in systems engineering, including hardware, software, networking, and OS.

• Experience scripting with languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby.

• Strong understanding of Linux and networking, with troubleshooting capabilities.

• Ability to create and improve standard operational procedures and best practices.

• Fluency in written and spoken English.
