About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Applied AI / Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying practical AI-powered solutions that address real-world challenges. You will work at the intersection of experimentation, prototyping, and production deployment, applying modern machine learning and Generative AI techniques to develop scalable and reliable capabilities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on engineers who enjoy shipping impactful features, learning rapidly, and balancing technical rigor with real-world constraints. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and product stakeholders will be essential as you translate ambiguous problems into effective AI-driven solutions that meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in machine learning concepts, including model selection, training, validation, and evaluation
• Experience building and deploying machine learning models in real-world applications
• Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn
• Experience working with large language models, embeddings, and prompt-driven systems
• Familiarity with data processing tools and workflows like Pandas, SQL, Spark, or similar
• Understanding of software engineering best practices including version control, testing, and code reviews
• Ability to analyze tradeoffs between accuracy, latency, cost, and maintainability
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and AI-powered features into production systems
• Apply supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning techniques to structured and unstructured data
• Build and evaluate models for tasks such as classification, ranking, prediction, NLP, or anomaly detection
• Develop and integrate Generative AI solutions, including LLM-based workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, and autonomous agents
• Translate business and user needs into machine learning problem statements, metrics, and experiments
• Implement data pipelines and feature engineering workflows to support model training and inference
• Evaluate model performance, bias, drift, and reliability; iterate based on results
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate models into APIs, services, and user-facing applications
• Contribute to architectural decisions related to model serving, scalability, and cost optimization
