About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Analyst to join the People Analytics team as an automation expert. This hands-on, technical, and analytical role involves building reliable datasets, automating reporting processes, and preparing data insights for leadership reviews. The ideal candidate will leverage their strong technical background to streamline data workflows, enhance reporting frameworks, and support strategic decision-making across the People organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams including People Systems, Data Platform, Finance, and Recruiting Operations to improve data accuracy, freshness, and robustness. The role is based in our San Francisco office, with a hybrid work model emphasizing collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in an analytics role such as data analysis, data engineering, business intelligence, or consulting within a high-growth environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing production queries, building ad-hoc ETLs, and conducting data validations.
- Experience cleaning, joining, and validating multi-source datasets, with the ability to communicate data limitations effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing clear, slide-ready reports for leadership audiences.
- Ability to partner with non-technical stakeholders and translate business questions into data requirements.
- Strong automation skills, particularly with Python, is a plus.
- Prior experience with HRIS, ATS, or payroll data is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and rigor.

- Leverage our engineering stack to automate manual data analytics and reporting processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct data gathering, reporting, and analysis for Executive Business Reviews and ad-hoc deep dives.
- Own the preparation of reporting and slide-ready data exports to support leadership presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including People Systems, Finance, Data Platform, and Recruiting Operations, to prepare, validate, and document datasets used in People reporting.
- Develop and automate recurring reports based on existing frameworks and stakeholder feedback to ensure timely and reliable insights.
- Partner with data warehouse engineering and other data stakeholders to enhance dataset accuracy, freshness, lineage, and robustness.
- Create ad hoc data pipelines and implement rigorous data validation procedures to support high-stakes reporting and detailed analyses.
