Senior Database Administrator

Description

We are seeking an experienced high level Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and

cloud database platforms. The DBA will collaborate with project managers and development teams to plan,

maintain, and support database environments across multiple platforms and cloud providers. Key responsibilities

include multi-platform database management, cloud administration, performance tuning, automation, and

ensuring security and compliance.

• Maintain Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases across all environments (Dev, Test, Prod).
• Provision, monitor, and manage database instances across OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Design and execute secure data migrations from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot bottlenecks, tune SQL queries, indexes, and schemas for maximum efficiency.
• Implement backup strategies, high-availability solutions, and conduct regular disaster recovery testing.

• Enforce access controls and encryption to meet NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA standards.
• Perform routine installations, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning to support future growth.
• Develop scripts using Python, Shell, PL/SQL, or Ansible to automate monitoring and administrative tasks.
• Build, review, and optimize database schemas to ensure data integrity and alignment with applications.
• Maintain clear technical procedures and provide database health updates to stakeholders.
• Execute additional technical duties and special projects as assigned.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
