About The Role

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist, Systems Integration / Test Engineer, to join our team at the Waco, TX facility. This role offers a competitive benefits package and a relocation assistance program. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing systems engineering test tasks related to aircraft modernization, maintenance, and the integration and testing of new aircraft systems. This position requires a detail-oriented professional capable of developing and executing testing procedures, supporting system integration efforts, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, interfacing with customers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to communicate technical information effectively. The engineer will support avionics, communication, and mission systems on various platforms, contributing to the development of cutting-edge military and defense systems. The position also offers opportunities to support future business pursuits, including avionics systems development and integration for military applications.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree with at least four years of aircraft systems test engineering experience. Candidates with an associate degree should have a minimum of eight years of relevant experience, while those with a high school diploma or GED must have at least ten years of experience in aircraft systems testing. An active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. The candidate must be willing and able to travel up to 50%, primarily within the U.S., with potential for international travel. Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and overtime, is necessary. Additionally, the candidate must be able to obtain a FAA third-class medical certificate and be willing to fly on platforms under test. Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform ingress/egress evaluations for emergency evacuation procedures is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute software quality methods and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and implement test procedures, conduct system operation tests, and verification tests for avionics, communication, cockpit, mission, and navigation systems.
  • Support the integration of avionics, communication, and mission systems across multiple aircraft platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
  • Utilize advanced test equipment and software tools to perform system testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics of RF and electronic systems.
  • Interface with cross-disciplinary teams and effectively communicate technical findings to customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support future business pursuits by contributing to avionics systems development and integration projects for military applications.
  • Review electrical schematics, block diagrams, and wire diagrams to diagnose and isolate malfunctions, ensuring system integrity and safety.
  • Travel as required, including international assignments, to support testing, system integration, and customer demonstrations.
