This role is ideal for a skilled data professional with expertise in Azure and Power BI who thrives in complex, data-driven environments. The Azure Power BI Developer will design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. You will leverage advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data science techniques to transform large datasets into meaningful visualizations. This position requires close collaboration with business and technical teams to ensure accurate reporting, data integrity, and informed decision-making. The role offers an opportunity to work remotely while contributing to federal programs that drive operational efficiency and mission impact. You will apply innovative approaches to data visualization, data pipeline integration, and analytical problem-solving in a supportive and high-impact environment.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to support data-driven decisions.
  • Connect and integrate data from Azure Data Lake, Storage, and SQL Databases.
  • Apply data science techniques, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning, to extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Document technical processes, methodologies, and data sources for knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Stay current on Power BI features, best practices, and data science advancements to continuously improve analytics capabilities.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • US Citizenship required for federal program work.
  • 5+ years of experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience in applying data science methods to derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for conveying complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services, data integration, and pipeline management.
