Senior Network Technician - Remote Contract

Title: Network Technician

Location: Remote in the U.S.

Duration: Contract until EOY 2026, extensions highly likely

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm local timezone

Start Date: 3/9 or 3/16

Pay Rate: 23-25/hr

**Requires the eligibility and willingness to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2-3+ years of working in a network related role
• Hands-on experience with layers 1-3 of the OSI model
• VPN/ DIA / Ethernet troubleshooting and setups
• Experience with at least of the following routing protocols: BGP, IPV6, EIGRP, OSPF or MD5 password
• Enterprise level experience with routing hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel
• Experience communicating to customers and/or vendors

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Network certification- Network+, CCNA, etc.
• Experience working in a NOC

Job Description:

A large telecommunications company is seeking a fully remote Network Technician for a contract extending through 2025. The project awarded will include standing up 10,000 network sites during the length of the contract. Their daily duties will include adding the configurations to customer orders, creating the workflow, and once the order is completed, they will route this to the testing team. The majority of the day will include troubleshooting VPN issues and setting up new systems. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and have the ability to work in a face paced environment. This position pays $23-25/HR while on contract.
