501632 Power Platform Developer

Work Location:            Huntsville, Alabama

Schedule:                    Full Time 40 hours per week; 8 hours per day in office (remote work is not authorized)

Relocation:                  Negotiable

IronMountain Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Power Platform Developer to drive modernization efforts and deliver innovative solutions. This role is critical to streamlining business processes and enhancing data-driven decision-making through the strategic application of the Microsoft Power Platform. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for leveraging low-code/no-code technologies to address complex challenges within a DoD environment.

Job Responsibilities:

The Power Platform Developer will manage the full software development lifecycle – from requirements gathering and design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance – for solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Pages). This position requires a strong understanding of SharePoint Online and the ability to seamlessly integrate Power Platform solutions within the Department of Defense ecosystem. Key responsibilities include:

  • Solution Development: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power Platform solutions to automate processes, improve data visibility, and enhance decision-making capabilities.
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Integration & Customization: Integrate and customize SharePoint Online and related M365 products, focusing on Power Apps and Power Automate to extend functionality and streamline workflows.
  • SharePoint Development: Develop and maintain modern SharePoint sites utilizing out-of-the-box features and adhering to modern design principles.
  • Workflow Automation: Design, develop, and implement automated workflows utilizing Power Automate.
  • Data Management: Migrate SharePoint features and data utilizing tools such as ShareGate, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
  • Dataverse Proficiency: Design and implement solutions leveraging the Dataverse as a data source and connector for Power Platform applications.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, SharePoint Online, and Power Apps to provide actionable insights.
  • Training & Support: Develop and deliver end-user training materials and provide comprehensive technical support.
  • Documentation & Iteration: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all developed solutions, with a commitment to continuous review and iterative improvement of knowledge management resources and tools.
  • Collaboration & Independence: Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage individual tasks effectively. Ability to take guidance and recommendations from the Tech & Automation Lead.
  • Guidance & Implementation: Actively seek and incorporate guidance and recommendations from the Tech & Automation Lead to ensure alignment with best practices and organizational standards.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certifications in Power Platform (PL-900, PL-600, PL-400).
  • Experience with PowerShell, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with federal government systems and DoD environments.
  • Experience in designing Power BI dashboards within SharePoint.
  • Experience with ShareGate.
  • Experience with Information Architecture and/or User Interface Design (wireframes, mockups).

Security Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

 Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
