Accountabilities

• Lead enterprise-wide data governance initiatives, ensuring policy compliance, accountability, and consistent data quality standards across all business segments.
• Oversee daily data governance operations, facilitating enterprise data decision-making and resolving conflicts through structured collaboration and consensus-building.
• Partner with business owners to identify critical data assets, assign data stewards, and implement governance plans that ensure long-term data integrity and usability.
• Establish and maintain enterprise standards for data quality, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and uniqueness, embedding them into operational processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to resolve data, information, and process challenges that impact business performance and operational efficiency.
• Chair and lead cross-functional governance councils and committees, orchestrating enterprise data governance strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Promote the value and adoption of data governance programs, standards, and operational procedures across all levels of the organization.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to team members, ensuring performance excellence and continuous capability growth.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, supporting enterprise initiatives, new capabilities, and governance framework enhancements.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of experience in healthcare, business, financial services, or enterprise data environments, with strong exposure to data governance and data quality initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise data governance, data management frameworks, data standards, and quality methodologies.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of data models, taxonomies, and enterprise information architecture.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to lead executive-level discussions.
• Experience acting as a change agent in complex organizations, driving adoption of new processes and standards.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
• Technical proficiency with data and analytics tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and related platforms preferred.
• Data Steward or related certifications and a master’s degree are considered strong advantages.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fully remote environment while maintaining high standards of security, privacy, and compliance.
