🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with business stakeholders (primarily in Japanese) to gather requirements, understand business context, and define data-driven solutions
- Lead end-to-end data analytics and machine learning initiatives, from concept and planning through implementation and delivery
- Collaborate with data platform and IT teams to manage dependencies, resolve blockers, and ensure smooth development and deployment
- Design, develop, deploy, and manage machine learning models aligned with business objectives
- Apply CI/CD, MLOps, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (Azure or similar) to streamline analytics and ML delivery
- Use SQL, Python, Pandas, PySpark, AzureML, and Power BI to build robust analytics solutions and data models
- Leverage financial or insurance domain knowledge—especially in distribution, operations, and marketing—to drive successful outcomes
- Ensure responsible and ethical use of AI in line with governance and compliance standards
- Produce clear documentation, technical specifications, and project deliverables for analytics and ML initiatives
- Communicate progress, insights, and results through presentations and reports to leadership and cross-functional teams
- Proactively propose enhancements and new solutions based on emerging technologies, including Generative AI

- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Marketing Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field
- Advanced degree or formal specialization in data & analytics is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics or data science roles delivering measurable business impact
- Proven leadership experience managing or leading data science / analytics teams
- Strong expertise in machine learning techniques (classification, regression, clustering, time-series, dimensionality reduction)
- Proficient in Python and SQL, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Solid experience with Power BI and data visualization for business stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with Azure-based analytics and ML solutions, including CI/CD and MLOps
- Background in financial or insurance industries, particularly in operations, marketing, or distribution
- Azure certifications (Data Scientist, Enterprise Data Analyst, Data Engineer) are highly valued
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
