Job Description
LHH is partnering with the world’s largest entertainment company in the world, in search of a Senior Payroll Manager for their Houston, TX location. In this role you will oversee a payroll of 70,000 employees, manage four Payroll Supervisors and a staff of 20 Payroll Associates. They are requiring a current CPP Certificate as they are having the four Supervisors obtain their CPP by the end of 2026. This is an onsite role (work one day a week from home), is a direct hire position with a salary paying $120K - $130K + bonus. They are open to candidates who would be interested in relocating to their area and will pay relocation costs. Here are more details about this job:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead payroll processing for salaried, hourly, tipped, seasonal, and union employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and Canadian payroll regulations
- Collaborate with HRIS, Benefits, Accounting, and external vendors to maintain system integrity
- Train and mentor payroll team members, fostering accountability and operational excellence
- Identify and resolve process inefficiencies and compliance risks
- Manage payroll systems, reporting, and audits across multiple FEINs and jurisdictions
QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role within a high-volume environment (10K+ employees)
- CPP certification required
- Experience with timekeeping, POS, and payroll systems
- Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, garnishments, payroll tax, and regulatory reporting
- Multi-state experience including California; Canadian payroll experience preferred
