Overview
This is a critical role as it ensures reliability, security and performance of the cloud assets powering our global Sales Engineering organisation. As a Cloud Engineer for the Sales Engineering organisation, you will have full responsibility for all cloud assets across our AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments You will ensure all assets are cost efficient, operationally ready, consistent with standards, correctly configured for their intended purpose, adheres to security policies and deliver expected performance. Where failures or incorrect operation is detected, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving. Close collaboration with the Sales Engineers, Solution Architects and Cloud Operations teams is expected and support for our SaaS products, which is based on AWS.
What You Will Do
- Build, deploy, maintain and manage cloud-based assets across our AWS, GCP and Azure
- Ensure platforms meet operational readiness, resiliency, and performance standards
- Assess existing cloud resources for correct configuration, tagging, usage and optimisation opportunities
- Develop automation for provisioning, configuration, patching and validation using IaC tools
- Implement repeatable patterns and reusable modules
- Ensure strong cloud security posture using modern tools and best practices
- Maintain compliance with security policies, identity standards and audit requirements
- Monitor system health and implement dashboards/alerts using cloud-native observability tools
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and contribute to incident response and root‑cause analysis
- Support cloud cost visibility, rightsizing initiatives and scheduling of resources

- 2-4+ years of experience with at least one major cloud provider
- Strong AWS experience (EC2, RDS, ELB, EBS, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.)
- Proficiency with automation tools (Ansible, Chef) and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Experience with cloud security concepts (encryption, certificates, IAM).
- Familiarity with observability tools and logging systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with NoSQL and relational databases
- Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, compute, and storage services.
- Exposure to incident management and troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost visibility
