About the Role
At SEE Talent, we partner with U.S.-based companies to recruit high-impact technical talent across Latin America.
We are currently supporting a client in the search for an Analytics Engineer who will play a key role in transforming raw data into reliable, well-structured analytical models that support decision-making across the organization.
This role is fully remote and open to candidates based in Costa Rica, El Salvador, or other LATAM countries.
Key Responsibilities
The Analytics Engineer will focus primarily on data modeling and transformation, ensuring analytics-ready, high-quality datasets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining analytical data models using SQL
- Transforming raw data into clean, well-structured datasets for reporting and analysis
- Working with dbt to develop, test, and document data transformations
- Ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and reliability across analytical layers
- Applying software engineering principles such as version control, modular design, testing, and documentation
- Collaborating with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand analytics requirements
- Contributing to continuous improvements in analytics workflows and data quality practices

Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience as an Analytics Engineer or in a closely related role with strong data modeling responsibilities (Data Engineer).
- Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly for analytics and transformation use cases
- Experience with dbt is acceptable and highly valued, even if not at an advanced level (1 year of experience).
- Clear focus and experience in data modeling and data transformation
- Foundational knowledge of software engineering best practices, including:
Git and version control
Wrting maintainable, reusable code
Basic testing and documentation
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken), as this role works directly with U.S.-based teams
- Business intelligence platforms (e.g. PowerBI)
- Expert proficiency in data modeling approaches and philosophies (e.g., Kimball,
- OBT)
- Expert proficiency with at least one cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake)
- Knowledge of common data integration patterns (e.g., CDC, ELT, etc.)
- Knowledge of common data integration / orchestration platforms (e.g., Fivetran,
- Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow)
