About The Role

We are seeking a talented Data Analyst specialized in Onchain data to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of translating complex blockchain data into actionable insights that influence Kraken’s trading strategies, product development, and market positioning. You will work closely with product, trading, and data teams to analyze wallet activity, liquidity flows, and user behavior across various onchain platforms.

Your expertise will help uncover key signals from blockchain data, such as wallet clustering, transaction flows, and capital movements, enabling Kraken to identify growth opportunities and optimize user engagement. You will design and develop dashboards, models, and frameworks that quantify trading performance, user lifetime value, and retention metrics. Your insights will directly impact decision-making processes, product features, and market strategies, helping Kraken stay ahead in the rapidly evolving crypto landscape.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge onchain data sources, collaborate with engineers to enhance data pipelines, and communicate complex insights in a clear, compelling manner. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product or trading analytics, preferably within crypto, fintech, or data-driven trading environments
• Strong understanding of onchain fundamentals: wallets, DEXs, liquidity, bridges, and token mechanics
• Proficiency in SQL, Python (including pandas, matplotlib, plotly), and dbt for data modeling and analysis
• Experience creating dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights effectively

• Familiarity with onchain data sources such as Dune, Flipside, Nansen, APIs, or subgraphs
• Proven ability to analyze user behavior, retention, funnel metrics, and product health indicators
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex blockchain data into clear stories for diverse audiences
• Crypto-native mindset: curious, analytical, and hands-on with blockchain tools and products

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, trading, and data teams to analyze the full onchain user journey from onboarding to long-term retention
• Build and maintain datasets capturing wallet activity, liquidity movements, feature usage, and trading behaviors
• Design and develop metrics dashboards using dbt and BI tools to identify trends in user growth, engagement, and trading activity
• Analyze funnels, lifetime value, and retention metrics to inform product development and user experience optimization
• Investigate onchain signals such as wallet clustering, transaction flows, and capital allocation to identify growth opportunities
• Develop frameworks to attribute trading performance and ROI across different products, markets, and user segments
• Collaborate with engineering teams to scale data pipelines, improve data quality, and enhance data accessibility
