We're working with Amazon Web Services on this exciting opportunity. Join the team launching the groundbreaking European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) and play a critical role in delivering high-availability AWS services to EU customers, influencing the future of cloud technology.

The Role

• Lead operations and development teams for high-availability AWS services (EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, Bedrock)

• Oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025

• Collaborate with global AWS teams to influence service evolution

• Enhance day-to-day operations, focusing on availability, reliability, and performance

• Troubleshoot anomalies, create bug reports, and implement production system changes

• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve out-of-hours incidents

What You'll Need

• EU nationality and residency

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

• Experience in scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby) or software development (Java, TypeScript)

• Strong understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals

• Ability to operate and improve large-scale software systems
