We’re hiring a Senior iOS Engineer (contractor) to join an experienced iOS team working on a well-established mobile product within a large, mature organisation.

This role is focused on accelerating the delivery of a new strategic initiative, while simultaneously maintaining and improving an existing iOS codebase that blends modern SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency with legacy UIKit and RxSwift.

You’ll be joining a calm, pragmatic, and product-led engineering team where shipping valuable features matters as much as technical quality.

This is a 6-month initial contract, well-suited to senior iOS engineers who enjoy navigating real-world complexity and modernising production systems without dogma.

This is a hands-on senior iOS role with genuine impact and responsibility.

You’ll be expected to:

• Help accelerate the delivery of a new initiative within an established organisation
• Work confidently across both modern and legacy iOS systems
• Maintain, refactor, and incrementally modernise a UIKit + RxSwift codebase
• Build new features using SwiftUI and modern Swift concurrency
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders

Technical Requirements Senior iOS Engineer (B2B, Contract) | Swift, SwiftUI, RxSwift, UIKit | €330/day

Strong, recent experience with:

• Native iOS application development in commercial, production environments
• Maintaining and refactoring legacy UIKit + RxSwift systems
• SwiftUI for modern UI development
• Modern Swift concurrency (Combine and async/await) alongside RxSwift
• Multiple architectural patterns: MVVM, MVI, and legacy patterns such as MVP
• Quality-led development (unit tests, UI tests, snapshot testing)
• CI/CD tooling and practices (e.g. CircleCI)
• Diagnosing and improving performance issues in mobile applications
• Clear, contextual communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Deep experience with RxSwift / RxCocoa and reactive programming
• Unidirectional Data Flow patterns
• Experience migrating legacy iOS codebases to modern Swift paradigms
• Familiarity with video player SDKs (e.g. Brightcove, Ooyala, or similar)
