Job Description


Insight Global is looking for Network Administrators for a government contract. These individuals will be working on a military base doing all network and system support for all of the Air Force.


The day to day is as follows:

-Analyzes and simulates network traffic to aide in problem resolution or to test updated configurations in virtual or physical lab environments.

-Monitors system utilization and circuit bandwidth then reports anomalies to Government team leads.

-Develop, execute, modify or remove scripts to assist in automation of tasks, as possible.

-Review and document all workload activities per incident or change request to eliminate re-work or for auditing/investigation purposes.

-Notify appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC), in writing, within 4 hours for all accountable item moves.

-Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

-4+ years' experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.

-Deep level of understanding/experience with enterprise level network architectures/configurations is required and Software Defined Networking (SDN) is desired.

-High school diploma or equivalent

-IAT-II Certification

  • Minimum of Active Secret Clearance
