We're working with Amazon on this exciting opportunity. Join Amazon's pioneering European Sovereign Cloud initiative as a Systems Engineer, contributing to high-availability AWS services for EU customers, focusing on automation and operations.

The Role

• Launch and oversee the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025.

• Collaborate with global AWS teams to influence service evolution.

• Enhance day-to-day operations, focusing on availability, reliability, and performance.

• Lead and build operations and development teams.

• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve out-of-hours incidents.

• Deliver scalable services and ensure a high-availability customer experience.

What You'll Need

• Expertise in systems engineering (hardware, software, networking, OS).

• Experience scripting with Bash, Python, or Ruby.

• Solid understanding of Linux and networking; strong troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to create and improve standard operational procedures (SOPs).

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Must be a national of an EU member state and resident in the EU.
