Job Description
Our End-to-End Control Tower initiative is your chance to shape Hapag-Lloyd's future observability landscape for IT applications. With this initiative we are transforming current monitoring solutions to a modern and holistic observability platform for our systems and applications running in an on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the transformation and modernization of our “Application Observability Platform” in terms of design and implementation of functional and non-functional capabilities
- Take care of integration into the existing and future Hapag-Lloyd application landscape (including development, deployment, and operation processes)
- Introduce and maintain a Data Lakehouse as part of the platform - for e.g., usage data, metrics, consumption ... to be best prepared for any analysis needed in the future
- Advice and support of our IT product teams and specialist departments in design, implementation, and integration of observability solutions based on our platform
- Further development and optimization of the platform - implementation and rollout of new features
- Collaboration with operations providers, software vendors as well as product experts
Qualifications:
- The development experience at mid-level in one of the object-oriented programming languages (for example, Java, C#, Python)
- Willingness to play a vital role in our transformation journey - from classic monitoring to a modern and holistic observability platform as a product
- Proven experience with monitoring solutions (e.g., Dynatrace, Elastic (ELK), Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ...) and standards like Open Telemetry
- Passion for customizing, developing, integrating, and rollout holistic observability solutions for business-critical applications in an on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environment
