Product Designer - Core Experience

This role offers the opportunity to shape the user experience of a cutting-edge AI-powered shopping platform. You will be responsible for designing end-to-end experiences across web, mobile, and conversational interfaces, while owning the company’s design system and scalable interaction patterns. Collaborating closely with product, engineering, and leadership, you will define visual and interaction language, drive design consistency, and mentor future designers. The position requires a hands-on, high-ownership approach, combining strategic thinking with exceptional craft in visual and interaction design. You will influence core product experiences that directly impact customer engagement, satisfaction, and business growth.

Accountabilities

• Design high-quality user experiences across conversations, product discovery, browsing, and purchase flows
• Own end-to-end product design for desktop and mobile web, with consideration for future native apps
• Define and evolve interaction patterns for agent behaviors, multimodal flows, and responsive UI
• Drive the visual and interaction language of the product, including motion and animation principles
• Lead discovery work: shaping user journeys, flows, and high-level information architecture
• Produce high-fidelity visual designs, interaction specs, and prototypes
• Build prototypes ranging from low-fidelity explorations to polished interaction models
• Collaborate with product and engineering to scope features, validate solutions, and iterate quickly
• Conduct user testing, feedback sessions, and internal demos to refine UX
• Perform competitive research and stay current on best practices in AI-powered and agentic interfaces
• Manage design systems and set design quality standards, mentoring future designers as needed
  
  

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in product design for consumer-facing or AI-enabled products
• Senior or staff-level product designer with strong depth in responsive web and mobile experiences
• Outstanding visual design and interaction design skills, with strong attention to craft and detail
• Proven experience designing complex systems, task flows, or multimodal interfaces
• Ability to switch between systems-level strategy and hands-on execution
• Strong design communication skills; able to articulate thinking through visuals, prototypes, and narrative
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering in fast iteration cycles
• Deep understanding of accessibility, usability, and interaction best practices across platforms
• Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, exploration, and polished, production-ready work
• Comfortable presenting design work to founders, executives, and senior stakeholders
• Thrives in ambiguous, 0→1 environments with strong ownership of outcomes
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing for retail, ecommerce, shopping, or payments
• Interest in or experience with AI-driven design, agentic UX, or conversational interfaces
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and workflows to accelerate exploration and iteration
