Job Title: Control Systems Engineer

Working Pattern: Full-time

Working location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid Work Schedule 3 days in-office)

As a Naval Marine Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, manufacture, and customer support of Marine Gas Turbine and Generator Set control system hardware and software. Defence Naval Marine are at the forefront of innovation and experience in the Marine sector, and our product portfolio ranges from standalone gas turbine engine products to complex integrated systems.

The Controls Systems Engineer shall specify, design and validate complex Defense Naval Marine control and monitoring systems, including hardware and software, for both production and in-service products. The Controls Systems Engineer is responsible for the on-time delivery and quality of the controls sub-system and the artifacts associated with the design, verification and validation of the system. What You Will Be Doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 10%

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 1+ years of systems engineering experience, OR
  • Master’s Degree in in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, OR
  • PhD in degree in in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements

  • 2+ years of controls systems experience
  • Knowledge of gas turbine engines, generators, and the control of these systems
  • Proficient in design and analysis tools, such as Matlab, Simulink, JMP, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with Root Cause Analysis and other problem-solving techniques
  • Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage tasks to completion ensuring that the relevant areas of the business are appropriately informed
  • Comfortable working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment or as a sole contributor on identified projects
