Senior Backend Developer

What will you do?

• Your primary focus will be developing our API. This is the platform's core, the web service that all clients, including the web frontend, our mobile apps, and third-party applications, talk to.
• Collaborate closely with the team to deploy new features and improve existing functionality.
• Maintain security, performance, no matter the circumstances.
• Play a vital role in discussions about architectural design, choice of technologies, and ways to approach the challenges.

What you’ll bring

• BSc or MSc with 5+ years of experience building scalable, high-performance, multi-tier software, applying SOLID principles, design patterns, and an agile mindset.
• Strong team player with excellent problem-solving and abstract reasoning skills, and a focus on collaboration and clean, maintainable code.
• Extensive experience with PHP 8, ECMAScript 10+, TypeScript, modern frameworks (Symfony 6+ a plus), Docker, CI/CD, Git, and shell scripting.
• Proficient in relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB), automated testing (PHPUnit, Behat), and performance monitoring using DataDog.
• Skilled with AWS services (S3, SQS, Lambda, etc.), Linux environments, and network protocols; bonus if familiar with Elasticsearch, Java (8/9), Redis, Lua, NGINX, or OAuth 2.
• Passionate about automation — ensuring work is covered by automated tests and optimizing repetitive tasks for efficiency.
