Description for the Senior Infrastructure / Network Engineer role:- This is a fantastic opportunity with a technology division of a global company. The role will involve working in a Infrastructure/Networking team in a fast-paced technology environment and requires a good understanding of networking (including BGP) and Linux administration. You should alos possess knowledge of virtualisation technologies and Kubernetes. The role is currently working in an on prem environment, however looking to move to Azure, so some Azure experience is required.

The role can be fully remote or hybrid if you live in the Newcastle area and prefer it - You choose!

Experience required for the Senior Infrastructure role:-

• 5yrs+ commercial experience in a commercial Administrator/Network infrastructure role
• Linux administration skills
• BGP experience to a reasonable level
• Happy working in an On Prem environment which is moving towards Azure (Need some Azure knowledge).
• Kubernetes
• Ideally some of the following:- Ansible, puppet, VMware, Fortigate firewalls
• Strong networking/Security understanding/experience - ideally data centre infrastructure

Salary for the Senior Infrastructure role will be negotiable dependent on experience but expect £60,000 to £70,000 basic + benefits package depending on experience.
