Job Summary
Kroger’s AI Enablement team is seeking a Senior AI Architect – Agentic Platforms to design and architect next-generation enterprise agent ecosystems. This role blends 50% hands-on development and 50% architecture, focusing on scalable, secure, and governed AI agent platforms.
The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with deep experience in cloud architecture, software development, and AI/GenAI systems, capable of leading teams and partnering with stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in cloud and distributed systems architecture
- 7+ years designing enterprise AI/ML systems
- 1+ year hands-on experience with GenAI, agentic workflows, RAG, or multi-agent systems
- Strong expertise with agentic frameworks/tools: LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, MCP, OpenAI SDK, Agent SDK
- Hands-on software development and CI/CD experience
- Strong experience integrating APIs and enterprise systems
- Cloud expertise in Azure and Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, identity, networking, CI/CD
- Familiarity with MLOps/AIOps tools (MLflow, model registries, vector DBs, monitoring)
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and Responsible AI
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder communication skills
- Senior-level leadership and team guidance
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration
- Ability to drive solutions from concept to execution
