AI Risk Lead – Governance, Legal, Risk, AI – Banking – NYC

Our leading banking client requires a Senior Technology Risk professional interested in AI to modernize and develop the organization's risk program. Specifically, this role will build the end-to-end AI risk assessment process, while steering the bank's AI forum.

This role offers the unique prospect to be positioned centrally, at the beginning of the organization's AI journey. You will conduct in-depth due diligence on AI user cases and associated risks, working closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization. This positions will work across; risk, legal, technology, and front office.

The position offers the opportunity to:

• Support the Head of AI + Robotics in setting the strategic goals for the bank. Maintaining a risk-based approach is embedded in the overall vision.
• Lead AI Risk Forum, serving as the primary owner of the risk review with global Risk Leadership. The principal point of contact for the AI COE.
• Manage the end-to-end AI risk assessment process to ensure all risks are thoroughly identified, evaluated, and mitigated.
• Essentially bridges the gap between legal and AI functions, guides the way through, and expands the possibilities of the AI program.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Ops Risk, Compliance, and Financial Services related regulations. Model Risk Management expertise is an advantage.
• Data governance SME. Along with knowledge in; business analytics, data privacy, data security, and AI
• Strong background in navigating product or tool development, specifically focusing on data, technology
• Leading teams at large, decentralized organizations
• Comfortable having robust and constructive conversations with various technical and nontechnical stakeholders and external partners.

This position requires two days per week on-site in a NYC office. This position offers relocation to NYC.

Successful candidates will have the ability to work autonomously and be able to bridge the gap between deep technical knowledge and senior management engagement to influence strategy and information security management.
