Senior Infrastructure Engineer

I’m working with a venture backed AI company building production-grade AI agents in a regulated, high stakes environment. This is not a tooling role and not internal IT, this is core platform infrastructure that everything else depends on.

The team is scaling a platform that handles millions of real-time interactions across multiple regions, with strict requirements around reliability, security, and compliance.

The Role:

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll own and build the foundations of a global platform:

• Multi-region Kubernetes deployments
• Zero-downtime deployment pipelines
• Monitoring, alerting, and observability across the full stack
• Disaster recovery, backups, and data residency controls
• Security and compliance infrastructure (HIPAA / SOC-style environments)
• Auto-scaling systems that balance performance and cost globally
• Infrastructure-as-Code to ensure repeatable, auditable deployments

This is a hands-on engineering role, you’ll design, build, and operate systems in production.

What They’re Looking For

• 4+ years of production infrastructure experience at scale
• Strong experience with cloud platforms and multi-region deployments
• Deep knowledge of containers and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• End-to-end monitoring and observability (metrics, logs, alerting)
• Database backup / recovery experience (NoSQL preferred)
• Strong debugging skills for complex infra failures
• Familiarity with security best practices in regulated environments

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries
• High-availability, mission-critical systems
• Distributed systems or performance-sensitive platforms

Location & Comp

• NYC onsite
• $180k–$300k base + meaningful equity ($300k–$1M)
