Location: EU Remote

Travel: Berlin 2× per quarter (or relocation)

Salary: Up to €140,000 + Equity (DOE)

The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Python & Go) to help evolve a mission-critical backend platform.

This is a hands-on builder role focused on:

• Breaking down a production monolith into high-performance services
• Owning reliability, scalability, and observability
• Solving real-time AI orchestration challenges under 300–700ms latency

You’ll work closely with senior engineering leadership and a principal-level engineer.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and maintain backend services focused on performance and reliability
• Decompose a monolith into purpose-built microservices
• Ensure real-time orchestration of LLMs, ASR, TTS, and telephony
• Push the platform toward enterprise-grade standards (multi-region, security, observability)
• Improve developer experience through Helm charts and load testing

What You Will Bring

• Strong backend experience in Python with solid Go exposure (or vice versa)
• PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB
• Kubernetes in production
• Monitoring with Grafana
• Experience with high-traffic or fast-growing systems
