Senior IAM Engineer - Okta Identity Cloud

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IAM Engineer with advanced expertise in managing and optimizing Okta Identity Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Okta administration, ensuring secure, seamless, and scalable identity and access management across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Okta Identity Cloud, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Adaptive MFA, Lifecycle Management, and Universal Directory.
• Design and implement advanced identity and access policies, workflows, and automation in Okta.
• Serve as the primary point of escalation and troubleshooting for complex Okta authentication and integration issues.
• Integrate Okta with cloud applications and on-premises systems.
• Develop and maintain secure identity governance processes using Okta LCM and APIs.
• Collaborate with security, IT, and business teams to align identity management with Zero Trust principles.
• Monitor logs, alerts, and dashboards to identify anomalies, mitigate threats, and optimize performance.
• Create and maintain documentation, standards, and training for IT support teams on Okta services.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry requirements for identity management and security.

Qualifications

Required:

• Hands-on advanced experience managing Okta (SSO, Adaptive MFA, LCM, Universal Directory).
• Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols (SAML, OAuth/OIDC, SCIM, LDAP, Kerberos).
• Expertise in troubleshooting identity and federation issues across cloud and hybrid environments.
• 5+ years in IAM, cybersecurity, or related IT fields.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, REST API integrations).
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Okta Certified Professional or Okta Certified Administrator.
• Experience integrating Okta with Zscaler, Palo Alto, or other Zero Trust solutions.
• Familiarity with Identity Governance (IGA) platforms and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC2).
