Our platform processes high-volume, high-availability financial data and supports advanced analytics, regulatory reporting, and AI-driven decision-making. We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, evolve, and govern our modern data platform.
This role is critical to ensuring our data ecosystem is scalable, secure, and analytics-ready, while enabling teams across the business to extract value from data using best-in-class tools and AI-enabled workflows.
The Role
As a Data Architect, you will own the end-to-end design of our data architecture, working closely with data engineers, analytics engineers, product teams, and senior stakeholders. You will set standards, define best practices, and ensure our data models and pipelines support both current and future business needs.
You will play a key role in:
- Designing cloud-native data architectures
- Enabling trusted, well-modelled analytics data
- Embedding AI and automation into data workflows
- Supporting a data-driven culture across the organisation
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain a scalable, secure, and cost-effective data architecture built on Snowflake
- Define and govern analytics engineering best practices using dbt, including testing, documentation, and model design
- Own enterprise-level data modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical)
- Partner with data engineering to shape ingestion, transformation, and orchestration patterns
- Enable self-service analytics through high-quality, well-documented data marts
- Ensure data architecture supports regulatory, audit, and security requirements common to fintech environments
- Collaborate with analytics, product, and commercial teams to translate business needs into data solutions
- Champion the use of AI and machine learning to enhance data quality, automate workflows, and improve insights
- Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and patterns as the data platform evolves
- Act as a technical mentor and architectural authority within the data function
Required Experience & Skills
- Significant experience in a Data Architect or senior data engineering role within a modern data stack
- Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake as a cloud data warehouse
- Strong expertise in dbt for transformations, testing, documentation, and analytics engineering
- Advanced data modelling skills (dimensional, data vault, or similar)
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
- Experience designing data platforms in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and security best practices
- Proven ability to work effectively in fully remote, distributed teams
